All dryer cords are #10.
I would run 500kcmil just to play it safe with voltage drop. M1 cable would be a better choice

My answers are based mostly on the ICC codes. Advice given is my personal opinion and every person performing work should acquire a permit from his/her jurisdiction and get the work inspected. My opinions are not directions to follow for DIYs or professionals
# 10 wire will do. Fyi, I think that #10 wire is orange.
#10 wire is WHATEVER color you decide to buy. The Dryer "cord/pigtail" will be red, white, black, and green with a black covering over it.
Just make sure the receptacle outlet will except the male end of the
dryer cord.
So are you going to use a 3-wire or 4-wire dryer cord set.
Installing a 4-wire dryer cord set can be a little tricky.
With a 3-wire, grounding of the dryer frame is done thru the
neutral/grounded conductor of the dryer cord
With a 4-wire, grounding of the dryer frame is done thru the ground
conductor of the dryer cord.
And if not sure how to do this properly, post back, there some good
guy here, that will walk you thru it.
