Well Maintenance - Outdoor Only

Hi,

I just purchased a home in New Berlin, WI - just outside of Milwaukee, WI.

It has a private well that supplies outdoor water only (indoor water is municipal).

What maintenance should I do on the well considering it provides water only for the outdoors?

Not much maintenance can be done on pumps. Make sure you have the correct air charge in the pressure tank, and that the pump runs continuously when you are using water.

I like to put a fresh coat of paint on the well cap every few years
