clawfoot tub question

please see the picture below, this is probably a stupid question but do I have to cut the pipes (A & B in the diagram) in order for it to line up with the drain and overflow holes? Or should it have been delivered with pipes that actually fit?
I bought the whole 'clawfoot tub package' and this is the hardware it came with...

Yes it needs to be cut. This can be done with a tubing cutter or hack saw.

Waste + Overflow

Make sure that you have your measurments right before you cut it, you will be a mad ***x if you cut it too short! :eek:
