Pump will not turn off

My well pump usually runs at 50psi pressure. It has been running at 30psi and will not turn off. When turn off the water to the house and out side the pump still doesn't turn off. The pressure went to 40psi.

You have a hole in the drop pipe or the pump is bad, if it is a submersible.
If you have a jet pump, there may be some trash in the jet orifice.
