I installed a Moen shower valve a few weeks ago. I did all the soldering to the valve on a bench. I removed the cartridge before soldering but didn't remove other parts, like the balancing drums or stops. After roughing in the valve and turning on the water, the stop on the hot side dripped a bit. When I closed the stop, the drip stopped. The water has been on for weeks with the stop closed and I haven't tried it again lately. Could I have damaged an o-ring in the stop when soldering, or is it likely that it just needed to stay wet for a while and will be OK?
