I just received a renewal Visa card, from Chase. They proudly point out that this card has "BLINK" meaning I can wave it at a card reader or just rub my ass against the cash register in starbucks, and money goes from my pocket to theirs! This would fall under the new catefory of RFID. Problem is, a hacker with a hand-held scanner can brush it by my hip pocket and steal my card!

I could live without the extra convenience, but it is here to stay. I have immediately ordered some protective envelopes to protect my cards:
