Shower stall/pan questions

For a remodeling, can I ask some questions

1. what is the trade name for shower stalls that "come apart" to allow them to be installed in an existing house?

2. What are the main plumbing brands on the East coast for good quality shower stalls and receptor pans, Amer Std, Kohler, and ....

1. They are usually referred to as the "remodel line"

2. You will pay a lot for Kohler styling. The big brands I know about are E.L. Mustee, Lasco, American Shower and Bath, MAAX Premium.
