NO IT'S NOT A GLUE PROBLEM OR ANYTHING ELSE,
IT IS A PIPE PROBLEM ! ! SEE THE FOLLOWING LINK ! ! !
http://www.abspipes.com/
AND ALSO THIS LINK http://www.abspipes.com/id.html
THE ONLY WAY TO FIX IS TO CUT OUT AND REPLACE !
DO NOT REPEAT DO NOT USE ANY GLUE ON ANY OF THE OLD PIPES ONLY USE METAL JACKETED PIPE COUPLINGS !
YOU CAN HOWEVER GLUE TOGETHER ANY NEW PIPES AND FITTINGS
AS A CALIF, PLUMBING CONTRACTOR I WAS VERY INVOLVED IN FIXING THESE TYPE
OF PIPE PROBLEMS IN THE LATE 80'S AND EARLY 90'S IN THE SO. CALIF. AREA BUT THIS PROBLEM WAS WIDESPREAD THOUGH OUT CALIF,

The problem is the glue continues to dissolve the pipe because of the chemical make up of the way the pipe is formed ! !
That is why i posted do not glue to old pipe, ! !
I have worked on many thousands of these leaks, ever thing from 11/2" vent pipe up to 3" sewer pipe leaks that flooded the family room,
when ever the upstairs toilet was flushed,
i worked for the developer co, where we had to go back and correct these
problems also note on the links i posted he can get payed what it costs
to correct the problems and any resulting damage like his kitchen sink areas

OH! Sorry fellas...Yes! Some apprectice got lazy and through the pipe off the box van where it was strapped and cracked the pipe once it hit the asphalt! When he tried to blame the asphalt, his journeymen plumber says, "Yes, it is the ass' fault. Agreed!"
Wonder how I know these things¿

Thanks fellas, for all of your comments and information. I found a legitimate plumber friend at church who is willing to help me do the repair. He suggested using what's called a "No-hub coupling" between the old pipe and the new pipe. So, now I'm off to make up my shopping list, and then it's off to Home Depot. I *really* appreciate all you guys. I'll post pictures of the repair when I'm finished.
Cheers!
I hate plumbing, that's why I'm here.
