thick asphalt

redwood..
I see you are up bright and early today

so you think that is a puff-ball???

all I know is I was amazed that it

could punch up first through a bed of gravel and
actually the Asphalt looks to measure about 1 1/2 inches thick..

I am gonna let it grow to see how big it actually gets..

then I am going to have to pour some sort of
weed killer in the hole or it will come up next spring again

Po

WE would have to know the context. It could be po'd if it is in a rant about a customer, or "pull out" when referring to removing a Moen stem, or "positive outlook" when starting to remove said Moen stem.

Weed killer probably won't do much to a mushroom. I'd not wait until it reaches maturity - it will have billions of spores in it, each capable of starting a new one. Many puffballs are edible if harvested before they start drying out. The things could have a HUGE set of rhizomes beneath the surface. If you have multiple 'balls', they may all be coming from the same rhizome (root) system.

I think it was in Washington or Oregon where they discovered a huge rhyzome supporting mushrooms that was acres and acres in area. The main part of that fungus could be along ways away, and you may never kill it.
