holding tank pressure valve question

After my holding tank became waterlogged and having fixed that, I started to notice that the pump would not kick on until the pressure got lower and lower.

Last night I happened to go into the garage after hearing 'air' noise.

The sprinklers had kicked on and the pressure was down to 20 pounds. Air was blowing out the bottom of the pressure valve and I could hear the pump coming on and off. I stopped the air blowing with my finger, then the pump kicked on and the air stopped blowing out of the valve.

Does this sound like a new pressure valve is in order?

Thanks,
David
