I have small children and it would seem that sitting on the soft close seat (for the Drake) would not be a good idea.

Would the Toto SC134 be the best option here?

Also, can I just pick something up at Lowes that would fit?

Thanks (I'm ordering my Drake today). :)

In the US there are two bowl shapes

Regular (Round)
Elongated

Any hardware store will sell both sizes.

Most of my clients like the Toto Softclose for their kids.
They are plastic, which makes cleaning better.
They don't slam when the seat is dropped.
Because of the slow close feature, the kids like watching them drop down.

Thanks

Thanks Terry,

I appreciated the insight. Would you say that they are strong enough to handle sitting on by an adult. We are always doing that with our current toilet seat to brush the kids' teeth, etc.

Or would you recommend a wooden model from somewhere else?

The Toto softclose has been holding up better then the Church wood seat that we also sell.

The wood seats are sometimes made of chipped wood and painted.
Sometimes the screws pull out of the wood.
