Delta touch 2 O

I posted this before when this was new and did not get much reply on it. Anyone now more familiar with this faucet and have any reviews? Will it work as a traditional faucet by deativating the touch 2 O tech?

I haven't had my hands on one, so I can't really answer.

My comments would be:
1) Seems like a similar or identical model may be available without the electronic sensor control module.
2) Looking at the install diagram, you could obviously bypass the control module. The question then is....the manual volume/temp lever....is it designed for complete on/off control. Probably, and a quick call to Delta could probably confirm that.

I love the look of this piece. I do not see it offered in non touch. And if i get it i do not want to be locked into that mode.

The Leland faucet is almost the same other than having the conventional lever handle, which could probably be substituted with the Pilar version. according to the site, the handle has the conventional on/up, off/down, and left/right temperature operation.

I just installed a Pilar with the Touch20. Installation was easier than taking out the old faucet. They supply all the necessary parts which includes 2 backflow preventers with rather neat metal/rubber inserts. These take the place of ferruls to prevent leaks and worked well. The faucet works flawlessly. Only problem I have - the LED doesn't come on when you touch the faucet. This also turns red when the batteries need replaced. You can view an install video at Delta's web site. They're sending me a new solenoid to see if that fixes the LED.
