Default Broken-off pipe in shower spout

Anyone know how to get the broken-off male threaded 1/2 inch pipe out of the female threaded end? Male end was corroded and 1/2 inch stuck inside the pipe.

    Thanks!

You can buy nipper extractors of varying sizes at a plumbing supply house and possibly from the guys in the orange aprons.

You could use an EasyOut if you can find one large enough. They make an inside pipe wrench, but I think they only work on larger pipe. An EasyOut is basically a lefthanded threaded tapered hardened steel hunk. You put it inside the hole, and then use a wrench to back it out of the wall like a screw.

You can also try a hack saw blade and carefully cut thru the nipple and pry it out with a thin flat screwdriver. Just be careful not to cut thru the female threads.
