    Default Threaded PVC fittings

    P trap adapters, cleanout plugs and such - do these guys need putty, tape or similar?

    I use a Teflon paste on the threads.

    But be certain it is rated for use with PVC. If it uses linseed oil it will not be. Not all threads need, or should have, a sealant. The slip nut side of a trap adapter, for example.
