Hello I have a Davey Hp Torrium pressure pump that has started surging everytime the water is turned on. Any ideas on what might be causing this?
Thanks in advance

It is the flow switch thing in the Davey pump that is causing the problem. It is doing exactly what it is supposed to do. That is work for a short while,(just past the warranty time) then quit working, so you have to buy another one. A jet pump with a pressure switch, small tank, and CSV will give you years of trouble free service.

Thanks for the replies but the pump is only a couple of months old!, would it have anything to do with the torrium on top?
Does this happen alot with these types of pumps?

These pumps are very cheaply made and so are their other components. They weren't meant to last a long time.

If it's less than a year old, why don't you send it back for warranty.

See if they will let you change it out for a pump with a standard pressure switch and pressure tank, because it is the torrium thing on top that always causes the problem.
