I have a Hydro-matic 1/4HP sump pump with diaphram switch. The Pump works fine but the switch sticks after 15 years. Should I find a replacement Hydro-matic diaphram replacement switch OR try 1 of the new-fangled electronic switches?

If the switch lasted you 15 years I would go with another Hydromatic switch. I sell and install Hydromatic pumps in the Chicago-land area, and carry the pressure switches.

15 years!

Thats a great switch or a very low usage pit to last 15 years! I would go with another hydromatic either way.

Just got a call from a home owner that I installed a Hydromatic OSP 33 back in 1995 and its in a high usage pit. During rains it runs every 5 minutes. It finally is starting to go. I have always been happy with Hydromatic pumps. We are going there in the morning to install a new OSP 50, and he should get another 14 years of great service.

Here is a link of the different pumps and their turn on and off levels. Each pump can have the switch changed to achieve the desired turn on and off levels. http://www.hydromatic.com/floats/float_dswitch.html The OSP 50 turns on at 9-1/4" and off at 2-3/4" I have installed the SK60 switch on other pumps to get the higher turn on level that some people need.
