Thread: Rerouting supply lines?

    Default Rerouting supply lines?

I'm in the beginning stages of a bath & laundry remodel. One puzzle is how best to move the laundry supplies. What stumps me is how best to 'tap' into an existing 1/2" copper line. There is doesn't appear to be enough slack in the system to allow pipes to be pushed far enough apart to insert a tee. Are there tricks to this or alternative solutions? I'm up for most anything.

    Thanks.

BTW, learned about this site from the tiling forum at johnbridge.com. A big fan gave rave reviews, so here I am.

    Default joint

THe easiest way is with a union, since you can take it apart if you have a bad solder joint. You can also use a "slip" coupling but it is less forgiving of errors.

Thanks. Unions are now on my Big Box Store shopping list. Making my contribution to Mr. Lowe's retirement fund.
