Default What to do if you have a 30-50 pressure switch and you ordred a 20-40

I ordered a replacement switch however I ordered a 20-40 and may be replacing a 30-50. The gauge reads 26-28 pounds most of the time.

I turned the nut on the new one 5 full revolutions clockwise hoping that would get it close to the 28-30 cut in pressure.

Will this work and was that enough turns, I have not installed yet!

Anything else to be aware of?

    Default Pressure switch adjustment!

A 20/40 Square "D" pressure switch can be adjusted to 30/50 or 40/60. Each complete turn of the nut on the long screw increases the pressure about 1-1/2 lbs. Don't mess with the nut on the short screw.
