In our new home, the high-efficiency (condensing) furnaces are in the crawlspace. Condensation is pumped up to the drainbox for the clothes washer, via a small pump. At the drainbox, the end of the pump hose is a few feet above the trap level, and when the pump drains, the noise of falling water echoes through the house. Is there a tip or spray head that we can add to the end of the drain hose to diffuse or spray the water against the side of the plastic drain pipe and reduce the noise?
