Laundry Tray Drain into Standpipe?

I want to add a Laundry tray. Currently, the washing machine drains into a standpipe. Can I drain the laundry tray by putting a "T" into the standpipe?

Pull the washer stand pipe and put the laundry tray into the washer trap. Then drain the washer into the laundry tray.
