Default Moen Faucet still leaks after replacing cartridge.

The faucet still leaks after replacing the cartridge for single handle faucets.
Any idea what would cause this?

How did the body of the valve look inside when you removed the cartridge?
Any chance the cartridge seals got torn when you inserted it?

    Default faucet

You either damaged it, or you did not use the metal washer under the handle so that the screw is pulling the stem outward when you attach the handle.

Being a Moen it just needs a little tweak. Here is the tool I use.
