I have installed quiet a few pvc and cpvc full port ball valves,3/4 and 1" over the last 5 years. When we go to shut them, they are very difficult or impossible to close. Are there any tricks to prevent this in the future installations or for the existing ones? What type of valve in pvc or cpvc would you guys use to insure ease or even ability to close after a few years?

Did glue or cleaner come in contact with internal parts of the valve after it was installed? It's a good possibility.
