I really do not like these.

Not because I would not want one, quite the contrary I would love one.

But each time I read a message I am reminded that to have one, I would need to tear down my bathroom wall and route a new circuit to behind the lav just to fit a GFCI to power the bloody thing!

Great idea but a silly lot of work.

How are licensed plumbers fitting these things without being licensed electricians? As a DIYer I dabble in both, but I doubt you all can professionally.

Direct me to a solar or battery-powered model and I will stand corrected.

Ian, I just had 3 installed in a client's house. 2 of them on the second floor. No walls torn. The difference between a pro and DIY is that my electrical contractor sub can fish all the wiring from the 2nd floor to the basement without tearing up any walls.

Not to be offensive, just to point out to you that not every job is a DIY job.

They don't.

That's what electricians are for.
I have the customer call them first to install an outlet,
And then I show up.
They come with a three foot cord, as easy as plugging in your toaster.

They use a "cut-in" box. It's all clean and seamless.

I've been using my bidet toilet seat and lately that cold water is freaking COLD!!!

But I must say, I feel like a basket of fresh flowers when I'm done exfoiliating and the water wisp wisks my worries away!

Sounds like you got a tough guy bidet seat!

Puckers ya right up!
