    Default cleaning products and septics

    Hi,

Does anyone know if the Scrubbing bubbles toilet cleaning gel would harm a septic system? On their website it says safe for septics but the packaging has all sorts of poison warnings on it but no information on what it actually contains. Seems like it would be similar to those blue tabs you put in the tank only it sticks to the inside of the bowl instead. any thoughts?

    Thanks

A bottle or two per day might eventually (or soon?) kill enough bacteria in your septic tank to cause trouble, but I cannot imagine a weekly and normal bowl-cleaning doing that.

Anything that can harm the biological process in a septic should be cause for concern. The upside is there is a huge dilution in the tank and maybe "Scrubbing Bubbles" gel is banking on that dilution to render their product safe. Traditionally, only waste and TP should enter the septic for optimum operation.
