I'have PEC lines going to my water softener like this: ( I used periodx instead of SPACES so the post would not strip them out)
...............out in of water softener
................[] []
=========Z Z
============

I want to tap into the "in" line and run a line out of the garage undergound to a greenhouse. I bought the fittings to do the job but it occurs to me if I hook things up like I planned I will never be able to unscrew the water softener unless the "?" in the diaghram below is some kind of slip union I can unscrew? Obviously I can screw and glue everything together but I need a way to take it back apart without cutting something - hence the need for the "?". Is there a better way?
...............out in of water softener
................[] []
=========Z Z <- 1" male threads
.....................[] <- 1" female thread-to-glue
.....................| <- PVC pipe
.....................[] _T_ <- shutoff valve
.....................[=]--?--[___] ---- > 3/4 PCV thru wall to greenhouse
.....................[] <- 1" Tee to 3/4 glue
.....................| <- PVC pipe
.....................[] <- 1" glue-to male thread
============

piping

I am sure the drawing makes sense to you because you made it, but to us it is completely incomprehensible. The softener should have some kind of unions, or clips, where the pipes enter it which is how you remove the softener without taking piping apart.

softener clips

I was wondering if those C clips let you just pop off the connection. Thanks!
