Why exactly did you change the switch?
Did you check the air pressure in the tank with no water in it to be 1-2 psi less than the turn the pump on switch setting? I.E. 30/50 switch settings gets 29-28 psi air pressure with no water in the tank.

Water well was working fine. Pump 4 years old, tank not old, new pressure switch. When power turned on it sounds like the control box keeps trying to turn on, making sort of a clicking noise, but no pressure is building up. What does that indicate? If the new switch is not set at a similar pressure as the old one, would that keep it from being able to start pump?
