If it was recently installed then it is an installation problem. If its old and the problem just started to occur them something is going on with the floor underneath.

I have a swanstone shower pan that creaks when in use. Does anyone know if this is an installation problem or if there is any way to fix this after the fact?

Upon installation the floor needs to be level and you need to make sure it sits flat with no motion and no deflection. Often that requires setting the pan in something like mortar to provide that full support.

Thanks for the feedback. This problem has been gong on since installation. Any ideas for fixing it now?
Call the installer and tell him that he has a problem.
Thanks All.
