there was a small screw that appears to have kept the handle on the stem but its gone and pretty well corroded. i tried pb blaster without luck. the cold side had the screw still in place and after removing it its just as stuck as the the hot. the spout has both price pfister stamped on it along with crane.

im trying to remove handles so i can rebuild the stems. any suggestions?

handle

That does not look like any PricePfister faucet I have ever seen. More likely a Crane/Repcal. A hammer type handle puller or tapping on the back of the handle with a small hammer are about the only ways to get it off.

Since there's no through hole on the handle, I don't see how either of the pullers shown would work with that handle. What would work?

When heating apply heat to the handle and keep the stem cool. the tap tap with a hammer.
