Hello,

New to the forums but I've been reading and it has been very helopful! Thanks!

So it seems as though the Toto is the preferred brand here. I did some research and my plumber doesn't have access to Toto so I had him quote a Kohler Cimmeron Elongated w/ Seat and Supply line.

I can supply my own toilets and can purchase online a Toto CST734F w/ Slow for about the same price as the Kohler Cimmeron or maybe a bit less w/ shipping.

It would be less hassle to purchase the Kohler but I am concerned about the Kohlers lack of bowl wash.

Thoughts?

Justin

I would go with a Toto over the Cimmeron hands down... If you have the Toto shipped to you open and inspect the toilet for damage before signing for it and refuse delivery if it is damaged.

Use the link Redwood supplied and see if you can locate a Toto dealer reasonably near you. If there is one not too far away, you could pick up your toilets yourself and apply the shipping costs saved to pay the gas. You won't get a better toilet than a Toto. Moreover, most if not all of the well known brand names such as Kohler, American Standard, and Gerber have been sold or merged and quality has slipped drastically. Many defects and poor flushing performance in some models. They are living on the reputation that their original companies earned. As Cass says, if you have a toilet shipped to you, inspect it before taking deliver to make sure it is not broken.

My local supplier (there appears to be only one) was higher than my plumber. He was able to find a source and it was the same price as the Kohler equip with the seat and supply line so I told him to install it.

Thanks for the help! I could probably save a bit of money on the internet but it will be less of a headache coming from the plumber.

Thanks again.
