Back in the day when copper was cheaper I would always do everything with type L. With copper prices so crazy I have been rethinking things.

But for things like boiler loops I always have stuck with the L. I have a job now where the boiler primary loop is done.. did that with type L. I have to T off for a DHW loop to an indirect tank. I would normally do this in type L also especially since there is an inline pump for this loop.

Does doing this out of type L make me a dinosaur or is that what others still use?

This is awkward, but...
