Exclamation Sump Pump connecting to Air unit help

I've been running my air all summer long, until this month, as it has cooled off a bit. We turned it off, and the sump pump that has a pvc pipe that runs to the front of the unit is going off non stop now. It starts a loud noise about every 5 minutes. I put my hand on the pipe going from the unit, and can feel it vibrating. I know that AC produces excess water, but I never noticed it pumping out constantly like this. If anyone can give me some guidance that would be great. Thank you.

Pull it apart and see why the unit isn't shutting off.

I think you mean condensate pump rather than sump pump.

If you do, I would check that it is actually pumping the water out. It might be that you need a new condensate pump. They are very easy to fit.
