Hello. I have been in the plumbers and pipefitters local 300 for 2yrs now and have been working for the same company for four yrs. I'm only registered as a 3rd yr apprentice because of my own fault.

I have some relatives that live by Gault, California and i have wanted to move but didn't have the funds too at the time. Now I'm making good money and have enough saved up i would like to but i have also got into the local 300.

I'm just curious what's the best way about going to get transferred to a different local and is it even possible? I know I don't have much of a say as a apprentice so i wanted some advice from other people who might of done the same. thanks

Ah...... finally another union brother post's a question. Just be careful my friend, posting here you just jumped into a shark pit. But don't worry they don't have any teeth to bite. Talk with your B.A. at your current local and then contact where you want to move. They'll work with you. If it is in the same state you should not have an issue. Don't listen to any of the negative post's that shall arise, they have a bad case of union envy.

If ya can't answer plumbing questions...
Ya might as well answer union questions...
Sure beats fixing plumbing!

Terry why not just give this joker his own union forum...
That way We don't need to see this crap on top of plumbing posts...

No he pays me when I perform!
And he does that very well because I perform very well.
I also have a nice retirement package, vacation and health care insurance for my family...
I love my job!

Don's ask me because they changed the rules so I could not transfer. Someone asked one of the officials why they didn't want Chicago plumbers here. He said, "Because they think they know it all". He told the official, "But that is because they do."
