I am installing a Swanstone base bedded in Structolite with cultured surround over green board.



1. Is moisture/mold resistant drywall fine for this app?

2. Would insulation in the interior and exterior walls be ok? If so, what types?

3. Do you recommend a vapor barrier? If so, what kind?

4. Does anyone water seal the studs with a product like Thompson's?

I think thompsons on the studs is a waste. Greenboard, or even regular drywall is fine as a substrate for completely impervious wall material like swanstone. NOT fine for tile.

A vapor barrier is not really appropriate in this situation. Just insulate the walls.
