I have my recharge happen at 3am but it never stopped last night. It was still running 3 hours when we woke this morning. Usually it runs for 1 hour. This softner is a Culligan mark 88. Is there anything I can check for before calling them in for service.

Thanks

About the only thing you can check that would affect the operation is whether the unit has power. If it does then a gear stripped. If it doesn't then reset the circuit breaker and then let it finish its normal cycle.

I went and checked and the unit still has power. By taking a closer look the dials all finished in the right position after the recharge so that leads me to beleive I broke a cylinder drum inside it. I broke one of these 5 years back but in that case it stopped all water from flowing. Oh well, service call has been placed.

Thanks
