Most fans I've ever dealt with came with balance weights and instructions for balancing the blades -- pretty important in some cases.

ALWAYS flush mount fans on 8' ceilings. MOST fans have the hardware.

It generally eliminates wobble.

However, unfortunately I just realized that I didnt use any washers on the screws I used to secure the mounting plate to the "Fan rated" electrical box. So I guess I will be taking the fan down and adding the washers as soon as I have an extra set of hands to help me hold the fan up without having to undo all the wiring. Ugh, this seems like it will NEVER end. *sighs*
