Toto Washlet Outlet Location

I'm thinking of getting a Toto washlet but don't have a nearby outlet. Should I put the new outlet on the left or right side of the toilet? Thanks.

Use a GFCI outlet and put it on whichever side is easiest. The cord should reach either side.

Is the cord on the right side? If I put the outlet on the right side is the cord retractable so the unused part is tucked away? Thanks.

The cord is on the left side and it is not retractable.
The cord is 3' long so as long as the outlet is less than 2' your ok.
I have some customers who put it right behind so they don't see the outlet.
