I have a basement sump pump that worked great for 10 years. It used to drain out through PVC tubing in the basement wall, that ran underground for about 100 feet, and then went into the storm sewer. (I think.)

Well, that outlet is now apparently plugged, so the water now spills out of an overflow PVC tubing about 4 foot above ground level onto my lawn. Needless to say, a mess.

Suggestions?

I purchased a 100 foot of corrugated 6 inch plastic tubing that is not running the water into the storm sewer. Can I simply bury this about 6 inches below the ground and assume everything will be fine for another decade or so?

I can't find any advice on this issue anywhere. Thanks.
