I have a 2" galvanized pipe( male) coming out of the wall for my kitchen sink drain. This ( did) thread into a 3-4" cast iron pipe. Well, the galvanized pipe rusted thru and broke off about 1-1.5" of threads into the cast iron pipe.
Any tricks on getting the galvanized pipe threads out of the cast iron pipe?

Any help is much appreciated!!

Sometimes you can chip it with a flat blade screwdriver.

Or cut out the santee above and below and replace using banded couplings.
