What do I do? We have a well and suddenly just a small amount of muddy water and air coming from the faucets. We had no trouble yesterday!

You shut off the power to the pump so it doesn't keep running and maybe over heat and ruin the pump motor or stir up more dirt in the well.

You wait an hour or three and attempt to get some water. If you do, then you know you didn't kill the pump. Then you practice extreme water conservation until the drought condition subside for a month or so but keep up the conservation. Stretch out the time between loads of laundry or go to a laundromat and take short showers only etc..
