We remodeled our bathroom a few months ago, and have had problems with our toilet ever since. We re-used the toilet (nothing wrong with it), and have had problems with the 'flush' chain breaking continuosly. We thought we had it set right, and then the toilet starting making a loud moaning noise after flushing. That went off and on for a few months. We haven't heard the noise for a while, but today, a pipe seems to have broken from the toilet. We heard water draining in the basement, and noticed it was coming from where the main floor toilet was placed. We noticed the bowl had completely and spontainously drained, and there was some leaking of water around the base. The pipe seems to have suddenly broken, no one had even used the toilet for a few hours before this happened. What could have happened?

Are you talking about the water supply pipe, or the drain pipe? Where exaclty did something break? Picture please. Even a broken drain below would not cause the toilet to drain out, so something may have happened to the toilet itself.
