I have a problem with my Hydro Pneumatic Pump Tank that is used with my well in my home, I need help so I can fix this problem because I do not know what is wrong with my Hydro Pneumatic Pump Tank here is the problem while taking a shower or bath the water pressure drops after about 2 min then stops and there is no water at all then about 2 to 3 min later the water returns with much better water pressure and it will only last about 5 min then it slows and stops again it does this all the time can you possabley tell me the problem. Thanks.

Your problem probably started with the tank. However, the overload on the pump is now tripping, and it takes a few minutes for it to cool down and try again. Cycling on and off every few minutes is usually what causes the pump to fail. Cycling on and off happens because you are not using as much water as the pump can produce. Then the tank fills and drains as the pump cycles on and off. The smaller the tank, or the less air that is in the tank, the more the pump cycles. When you get your pump fixed, you can install a Cycle Stop Valve. This will keep your pump from cycling no matter how little water you are using, or no matter the condition of the air charge, or the size of the tank. Otherwise, those who do not learn from their past, are condemned to repeat it.
