Thread: either fan or ac unit works

Default either fan or ac unit works

I've some threads with some of these problems listed but not like this.

I turn on the ac, fan on auto. The ac unit runs but no fan. I put the fan to the on position and it runs but the ac turns off. It's one or the other. The air is cold when it get blown in but then warms as the ac turns off. It seem to be the same with the heat. Is a capasitor too weak to jump the whole sysem on?

    Default ac

Unless the AC stops immediately, it is harvesting the latent cold air in the unit, and that will get warmer as all the cooling is extracted.

    nope.

It sounds like the temperature sensor on the indoor unit is not turning on the fan.
