Hi,

I have a drilled well that is about 250 feet deep.

It is a relatively new well that is about 10 months old, up until last week we had not experienced any difficulty with the well. Suddenly it is producing significant quantities of sand.

This is also an artesian well that flows continuosly.

When we pulled the well cap it could be seen that the water at the top of the well was cloudy and had silt suspended in it.

What has happened and what is needed to correct it?

Thanks,

Jerry

Bob,

Thanks, he is supposed to be out to look at in the next day or so.

I am looking for background info so I have a good idea what might be going on so I can sort out anything i'm told that may have a smell to it.

Not knowing your area or your Geology, it's impossible for me to say what happened to cause the sand. Hopefully he will know and be able to remedy the problem.
