Hi,

I have an old Gerber tub drain I'm need to remove to update. the house was built in 1970 and this may be the original.

The plumbing tool I bought that fits on a rachet is too small to "grab" the drain from the top and spin out. I'm not replacing the whole thing, just the top cosmetic part. the guy at Gerber told me there's a screw down inside I need to remove. I don't see one anywhere. Any ideas would be appreciated.

If the drain has a cross bar you want to use a dumbell wrench...
