Hey guys,
I was just wondering what brand of frost free silcocks you guys use. I have pretty much always used Woodford, But man they have gotten expensive. I can get a zurn for about 1/2 that but have always trusted the wordfords and now i am thinking about switching but don't want to get some cheap piece that will only cause call backs.

I've been using Legend frostfree bibs.
The handle has rubber on it with a 1/4 turn cartridge in it.
They are fairly quiet, the customers love them.

Hmm, I looked at the Legend and it says its for warmer climates. wierd. What supplier are you using to buy them from?
I haven't used one in years but I think my old boss in New Jersey used Nibco.
So where does it say on the Legend "Frostfree" that it can't be in a cold climate?
I pulled one out of the box, and I coudln't see anything like that.
It did say to remove the hose in Winter and drain it.
I also use Arrowhead.
I think it's my mistake its the T-552 close coupled ones. I guess thats the shorter stemmed ones. Hmm, I will have to look into seeing If any of my suppliers carries them.

I have been using the Legend valves for some time now and as Terry said the customers love them. The only thing is they are not rebuildable as far as I know...but then I never rebuild them anyway...I will only replace hose bibs.
I would like to have hot and cold to the outside. Which dual frostfree bibs are high quality?
Thanks.
I would install this.
