The unit is a Goodman split system about 5 years old.
Sometimes the air handler blower fails to come on.Switching the fan switch from AUTO to ON will kick it on IF you make the compresor turn off first by moving the slider. Also turning the unit OFF and waiting till the pressure shuts up and restarting usually works.
Sometimes it goes for days without a hitch and sometimes it's every hour or so.
without just replacing parts by trial and error,(which is popular in our area),Where would you start testing?

Possible causes.
1. failing relay
2. A pressure/temperature sensor that is supposed to turn on the fan?
3. Motor or motor starter problem.
