Hi -
I am trying to replace the shower valve cartridge for my single handle shower faucet. The plastic lip of the valve cartridge is broken . . . unless I turn my handle just right, my shower will leak! My problem in replacing the cartridge is that I don't know who the manufacturer is of my single handle shower faucet. Because I couldn't find a replacement, I actually glued the broken plastic piece back, but that only worked for about a month. Does anyone have any suggestions for tracking down replacement cartridges? The only identifying information on my faucet is "UPC" and "CSA", which I suspect is not unique to this manufacturer. Attached are some pictures . . .

Okay I got it to work finally!
That cartridge was used by Gerber, Harden Brass, and Matco-Norca and is available at the link I posted above.
Thank you so much!!!!

I think this is the one I have too. I'm trying to replace the handle and need to either figure out how to remove the whole valve assy and replace it, extend the shaft on the cartridge to 3" to accommodate the new handle assy, or replace the cartridge with one that has a long enough shaft. Please help.![]()
www.arpny.com does indeed have a UPC brand single handle cartridge that matches mine precisely. I have been able to disassemble mine and clean it but as I was installing it I failed to put grease in to hold the special O-rings that face the back of the rough housing.
I wonder whether these D-shoped seals are available without buying the whole cartridtge. I have two to fix but haven't put the first one back in. It has a sliding piston that now moves freely now and that was jammed with lime and rust until I took the unit apart and cleaned it.
Help with D-shaped O-ring. I will try to post a picture showing the one seal missing.
The picture shows one of the special 0-rings in place and the open slot (on the left in the picture) for the one I lost. This view is looking at the back of the cartrige section that seats into the brass housing. The other plastic section (not shown here) seems to have regular Delta valve parts in it. This is a single-handle shower valve and you can see the cylinder and piston through the openings in the two plastic pieces. That little shuttle now rattles nicely when you shake the unit- It was frozen before and the systemg gave only hot water.
If it would help I can send a picture of the unit as a whole. It is used by several low end manufacturers and one part number is Huntington Brass part number HUN7006 in the website.

There are NEVER any repair kits available for cartridges of this type. From your other post, you identified Huntington Brass. I assume you are looking at HUN7006 on alfano. You need to buy that part, in its entirety. Note that it is a combo, with the upper on/off/temp section and the lower pressure balancing spool section.
UPC is NOT a brand name. It is the "code" seal of approval granted by IAPMO ( International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials). UPC stand for Universal Plumbing Code. Most jurisdicitions require all plumbing materials to be approved by a recognized approval body, like UL for electric). IAPMO is a universally accepted approving agency.
And it seems this post is in the wrong thread. I can't seem to find where you started this discussion.
