My irrigation system currently runs off the pressure tank supplied by my private well system. I recently added a aerator/water softner system to clear up a iron problem. Water comes from the well head where an inline aerator draws outside air into the line and then goes into the pressure tank. Water leaves the pressure tank and supplies the irrigation system and home. Since I had the aerator installed there is too much air in the irrigation lines and the pressure has dropped significantly. Can I run the irrigation lines directly off the well, bypassing the pressure tank? If not can I just plug the in-line aerator while the irrigation system is in use?
