Is this a pigtail?

In the few pictures I've seen of pigtails associated with pressuretrols, the pipe makes a complete loop, rather than the inverted "J" attached to our boiler/pressuretrol (highlighted in the picture). Is this OK or should it be replaced?

I am not a boiler guy, but I like the loop because something is always going to vibrate or move and a little flexability is good.
