    Question venting questions

I'm installing a new bathroom where there was none before in my house. My questions is, Is there a "correct" spot to install my vent stacks? For example, Should the toilet vent be upstream or downstream from the toilet?
And if there is a toilet and a sink on the same waste line will a single vent suffuce? What is optimal, since this is a new build and the walls are open I can put in most anything...

Giving the State you live is very helpful. Having pic's or sketches could be very helpful.
I'm just starting to work with an old friend of mine to bring solar electric and hot water systems, wind turbines, Flex Fuel Boilers, batteries, hydroponic gardening, books, pellet grills and more. Also the parts for DIY installation.

The vent will be down stream of the toilet.
As are the other vents too.
